Storming Love Earthquake: Gabriel & Avery by: Ann Anderson
                                                                   reviewed by: Becky

Loneliness has been Gabriel's companion since his parents' passing, growing with each sibling that leaves home to start their own life. When a big earthquake hits Alaska, Gabriel finds himself taking in Avery, his two daughters, and their grandmother and relishes not being so alone. Yet, Gabriel feels a spark of recognition he can't explain about Avery, but more than that, he likes the company and wishes he could have a deeper relationship with the man. But when the small family has their new home, what could make Avery want to stay?

I really enjoyed this book, and this authors writing style, and the way she developed characters so well for this being a short story!

Gabriel strikes me as a caretaker, someone who is at home taking care of others needs, and when Avery and his two daughters and their grandma need somewhere to stay after an earthquake, he is in his element. Gabriel comes alive when he has the two little girls around, and the way he feels about Avery, well that is a whole different story!

Avery has a lot to deal with, his girls, a new home, his mother in law, and the feelings sweet, giving Gabriel stirs within him! Can these two act on their attraction, or will disapproving family members and other things get in their way?

You have to grab this book friends, I can't wait for each and every book in this series! Thanks Ann, for a wonderful story that made me smile!

the 5 moose and bear rating :)

NOW FOR AN EXCERPT FOR YA!

He opened the door, and as seemed to be Mother Nature’s habit today, a rolling motion sent him tumbling, right into a broad chest. At least the other person had the sense to lean forward and grab the house. Identical squeaks had Gabriel looking down into wide, bright blue eyes framed by dark brown hair and the cherubic faces of two little girls as they clung to the legs of the man that currently supported Gabriel. He decided to blame his lack of sleep on why he couldn’t maintain his balance today, though yesterday hadn’t been much better.

Once the wave stopped, Gabriel straightened himself and glanced into a rough, chiseled face of a man whose eyes captivated Gabriel and tugged at a distant memory. “Sorry.” Gabriel straightened and refused to let his hands linger on that broad chest. It was only because he was tired, and probably needed to spend some of his time alone being…alone, that he even noticed how nicely defined the man’s chest was beneath the crisp black shirt.

“Hey, boss,” Ryder called out when he strode from the kitchen, his plate of pancakes held close.

Gabriel rolled his eyes at his brother and his brother’s roommates as they shuffled from the kitchen clutching their own plates, but chose not to comment as he turned back to the man he’d rarely heard about aside from small snippets. And those had been more frequent when Ryder had graduated from the Alaska State Trooper Academy and been given his station. Gabriel couldn’t remember the man’s name, since Ryder rarely called him anything but boss. Apparently he and his roommates had started it as a joke only for the name to stick.

The man held out his hand and offered a warm smile. “Avery Snider.” Gabriel took the hand for a firm, quick shake. He couldn’t trust himself with more what with the way his mind was wandering.

“Gabriel Hutcherson. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

I LOVE THIS STORY AND YOU WILL TOO! THANKS FOR JOINING ME FOR MY REVIEW OF STORMING LOVE EARTHQUAKE: GABRIEL AND AVERY, GRAB IT FRIENDS YOU WILL LOVE IT!
