THIS QUOTE IS PERFECT FOR THIS BOOK: HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Rebel Yells  (Apishipa Creek #1) by: Rain Carrington
                                                               reviewed by: Becky

Jack Colton dedicated his life to two things, the law and the love of a good man named Martin. When Martin dies Jack goes into mourning so deeply that he starts to see his late husband everywhere. Martin tells Jack that he needs to move on and find another relationship but Jack is holding on too hard to his past and his job to see love when it speeds through the small sleepy town he watches over. Rebel Marino lives up to his name. He fights hard not only with his fists but to keep from letting anyone get close. Rebel inherits a home and business from his favorite aunt, whom he sees even though she recently passed away. She tries to convince him that the tall handsome sheriff is worth a leap of faith. Together they start to discover what it means to move on, to trust, and push the boundaries of not only their interest in BDSM but of love itself but will a third man who is secretly in love with Jack come between them and rip them apart before their love can fully bloom?

A friend turned me onto this series, and a am so glad she did, I love Rain's books, and these are so next level great it isn't even funny! I love the chemistry between the characters and how you can feel their emotions and go through the ups and downs with them.

Jack is hurting, he has been hurting since his partner Martin died, and he doesn't want to quit missing Martin, or seeing him everywhere, nothing short of meeting a man perfect for him will make Jack whole again, and he doesn't want anyone else, or does he?

Rebel inherited his Aunt's house and apparently he inherited her spirit too, how else can you explain her giving him advice on the perfect man from beyond the grave? Rebel thinks the sheriff is hell-a sexy, but they couldn't be perfect for each other, could they?

You will love the way the author navigates the budding relationship and how these two men learn how they fit into each others lives. These two are just beginning to have everything they ever wanted, but can they get past insecurities and someone who doesn't want them to have a happy ever after?

You have to read this one friends, it is the perfect start to this series, and hot, boy is it hot! I love it when an author really knows how to write BSDM, and writes it well, don't miss this one for sure! Thanks Rain, for a book 1 so good that it makes you eager to read the whole series as soon as possible!

NOW FOR AN EXCERPT:

He made it to Mrs. Perry’s place at just after nine in the morning, when he pulled in he saw Rebel walking out of the garage brushing dirt from his pants. Rebel smiled and waved to him and Jack’s stomach did a flip in response. Fuck the man looked good, even with grease on his face and paint spatters on his shirt. Opening the door and getting out of the car, a smile took over his face and Rebel returned it. Rebel walked over to the car and once there he looked down. Oh fuck that submissive little gesture just made him all the more sure.
“Sheriff,” Rebel said with a smile in his voice.
The first time he hadn’t called Jack “Officer”. Progress!
“Rebel, I came to take you.”
Rebel glanced up at Jack’s choice of words then back down as his smile grew and he nodded. “I’m ready.”
“Good.” Over the door of the car Jack reached out, grabbing a handful of Rebel’s hair, pulled him in but didn’t kiss him. Their mouths were so close a piece of paper would have trouble fitting between them. Jack felt the quick huffs of breath coming through Rebel’s parted lips. Rebel’s eyes were still lowered but not closed and Jack said in a growl, “Look at me.”
Rebel looked up and Jack was caught in those seductive eyes for a moment before he closed his own and pulled Rebel the rest of the way in for a blistering hot kiss. It was slow and discovering, deep and lingering and it went on for a long time. The door was between them so their bodies couldn’t touch just their lips and tongues. Jack reached up and wrapped his other hand around Rebel’s neck, never letting his grip lessen on his hair.
Even in the kiss Jack could tell Rebel was submissive. He let Jack’s tongue control the kiss. Let his mouth take over the speed and intensity. For the first time in years Jack’s body was lit with impassioned arousal. Jack pulled back and let their mouth’s part. Jack’s arousal was spiked when a slight whimper came from the formerly smart-assed man.
Rebel’s eyes were blurred, Jack could tell that by looking at him and Rebel smiled shyly. “Do you do everything that good Sheriff?”

Finally Jack stepped out from behind the door and took Rebel into his arms, kissing his bottom lip. He whispered against Rebel’s lips, “It’s been awhile but I think I still remember how.”
