PHOENIX REBORN: THE PHOENIX CHRONICLES BOOK 3

THE PHOENIX CLUB SERIES AND THE SPIN OFF THE PHOENIX CHRONICLES HAVE TAUGHT US THAT IF REAL FRIENDS ARE ANYTHING, THEY ARE FAMILY!

Mike and I are huge fans of this series so we are stoked to review the latest offering from it. This series redefines the term family beautifully, as only this talented author can!

Phoenix Reborn (The Phoenix Chronicles book 3) by A.M. Snead
                                                                reviewed by: Becky

They say that you can choose your friends, but you’re stuck with your family. That is both true and false. Sometimes you get to choose your family as well. As all of us chose one another. Our family – it is both a gift and a choice.

As Cole and Gabe go above and beyond to deliver Devlin from the anguish of heart and mind…Angel, Abel and Caleb develop a deeper bond in their quest to rescue Dane from the demons of his past. When Max finally comes face to face with his half-brother, Darius – the man isn’t quite what Max had expected, and brings with him unsettling truths about Max’s real father. And Clint – a man of ruthless loyalty – continues his discreet vigilance over Gabe and his family, while battling emotions that are both foreign and unsettling within the world he exists, yet continually draws him back to source of his growing desire.

The spirit of the Phoenix reaches out to all facets of the family as established relationships are strengthened and new relationships develop, steeped in love and forgiveness, and trust and faith in one another.

I was looking so forward to this book, and let me tell you I was not disappointed! I have loved every minute of this series that redefines the family dynamic, and shows that a real family is not born of blood, but of people that truly love you,and will have your back in any situation. We get to see our favorite characters and couples, and we also get introduced to a new face, and watch him struggle to be what who he was born to be! Thanks A.m. for living up to the standard we have set for this series. I have included the Amazon US and UK buy links so you can pick up this book for a great price.  *5 Stars*

HERE IS ONE LAST QUOTE THAT I THINK FIT MAX AND HIS BOYS TO A 'T':

I AM SO EXCITED TO BRING YOU AN EXCERPT OF THIS BOOK, THIS IS A JOURNAL ENTRY FROM 'DADDY MAX':

They say that you can choose your friends, but you’re stuck with your family. That is both true and false. Sometimes you get to choose your family as well. As all of us chose one another. Yet again, perhaps it wasn’t truly a “choice”…but a divine plan, laid out before any of us ever took our first breath of life. Something this perfect and right – it doesn’t happen by chance. Some people out there, they don’t like the idea of fate or destiny, events of their life decided ahead of time.
But I think they misunderstand the divine hand of God. I believe God has two wills for us – his Divine will and his Permissive will. The Divine will is what “He” wants for us; that perfect life filled with joy and happiness and contentment. His Permissive will is what allows us to choose our own path. We rarely make decisions for ourselves as good as He would have made, and we almost always foul up His original will for our lives. But I believe every single person is given at least one chance to make the choice He wants for them.
Though I know in my heart God brought my family together…we each were still given the choice to walk away. Abel and Devlin, Caleb and Samuel, Angel and Dane…they could have let the nightmares tear them apart, ran from each other rather than stand and fight the demons until they were vanquished. Cole and Gabe…they could have ignored the emotions churning in their hearts, remained casual, sexual friends and nothing more – all of them missing out on epic love. And Horatio and I…we could have walked away, cut our hearts loose with such finality that when the truth came out…there was nothing to salvage; no love left to embrace.
But we “chose” to stay, to fight, to believe that the love each of us shared was too great to sacrifice or give up on. God did bring us together, showed us what we could have…but the final decision He left up to each and every one of us. ‘This is what I want for you,’ He was telling us. ‘But you have to want it, too. And you have to want it strong enough to fight for it.’
And we did.
I will always give full credit to Horatio for “our” happiness. It is because of Horatio that the embers of our love remained. He is the reason our love was still alive when the truth finally set us free. Had he never come looking for me…perhaps we would have never found our way back to one another. When I tried to run from our love, he followed, never letting me forget what we truly had. There were times that I believed he was doing us more harm than good. There were times when he believed it as well. But the truth was…he was keeping us alive. Had our love died…we would have died with it.
Family. Love. They are gifts from above, proof that there is a God and He does, indeed, love us. But they are gifts that have to be accepted. He will never force them upon us.
Our family – it is both a gift and a choice.
